Computer Science - Postgraduate Program

Program Tracks: The program offers two main tracks:

Research Track:

  • The Master of Computer Science program (research track) at Ton Duc Thang University is designed for learners aiming to build careers in academia, research, or senior specialist roles in information technology. The program provides a solid foundation in theory and methodology, combined with modern techniques in artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data analytics and is regularly updated with the latest trends such as deep learning, large language models (LLMs) and computer vision.
  • Students develop creative thinking and in-depth research capabilities to identify and solve complex problems in computer science. The program also emphasizes essential soft skills such as academic communication, effective teamwork and professional ethics, shaping adaptable experts who are responsible members of the global digital society.
  • The program is taught by a faculty of PhDs and associate professors with excellent research capabilities and extensive experience implementing practical science and technology projects. It also features teaching and research supervision from visiting professors from international partner institutes and universities.
  • Students study and conduct research in a specialized scientific environment with modern laboratories, including the Natural Language Processing and Knowledge Discovery Lab, the Artificial Intelligence Lab and the Data Science Lab.

Applied Track

  • The Master of Computer Science program (applied track) at Ton Duc Thang University trains experts capable of developing and deploying advanced IT solutions in practice. The applied track focuses on the ability to effectively and creatively apply computer science knowledge to solve specific problems in businesses and organizations.
  • Students are equipped with a solid foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data processing, algorithm development and modern computing techniques, while developing skills in analyzing, designing and deploying complex intelligent software systems. They participate in developing, deploying and optimizing real-world application systems based on new technologies. The program places special emphasis on applying technology to interdisciplinary fields such as finance, healthcare, logistics and smart cities — areas experiencing strong digital transformation demand.
  • Beyond core expertise, the program also develops students' teamwork abilities, professional communication and professional ethics, helping them become responsible experts in the global technology environment.
  • The program is taught by a faculty of PhDs and associate professors with excellent research capabilities and extensive experience implementing practical science and technology projects. It also features teaching and research supervision from visiting professors from international partner institutes and universities.

In addition, the Faculty of Information Technology has built a network of business partnerships to create opportunities for students to participate in real-world projects and access internships aligned with their career paths.
