On the Organization of the 2026 Aptitude Tests for Undergraduate Admission

The Admission Council of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hereby announces the organization of aptitude tests for applicants applying for admission to Ton Duc Thang University in 2026 as follows:

1. Eligible Applicants

Applicants applying for admission to TDTU in 2026 using admission subject combinations that include an aptitude test for the following programs are eligible to take the aptitude tests: Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Digital Arts, Architecture, Urban Architecture, Regional and Urban Planning, Sports Management

The aptitude tests apply to applicants applying under the following admission methods of TDTU:

• Method 1: Comprehensive Admission.
• Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Test.

Note:

- Candidates applying for admission into the Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Digital Art majors: can take both Fine Art Drawing and Color Decorative Drawing to use the highest score for admission.

- Candidates admitted to the Architecture, Urban Architecture, Regional and Urban Planning majors: take the Fine Arts Drawing exam for admission.

- Fine Art Drawing subjects include: Fine Art Drawing (Drawing statue heads, Still life drawing), Color Decorative Drawing.

- Fine Arts Drawing subject (Drawing a statue's head, Drawing a still life): candidates choose 1 of 2 exams: Drawing a statue's head or Drawing a still life.

2. Registration Procedure for the Entrance Examination

- Candidates register for the entrance examination at the system: https://thinangkhieu.tdtu.edu.vn. Candidates must use the correct "Citizen ID number" or "Personal Identification Code" that they registered for admission in the various methods and register an account on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to register for the aptitude tests.

- After successful registration, candidates pay the examination fee of VND 300,000/subject/exam session via QR code payment as instructed on the TDTU entrance examination registration system. The candidate's application is considered valid when the candidate pays the full examination fee within the specified time and the payment status is confirmed. TDTU does not refund the examination fee.

- Candidates do not need to print and submit the application to the University.

Note:

- Candidates who pay the fee after the "Fee Completion Deadline" will have their application considered invalid and will not be included in the exam list.

- Candidates should check the aptitude test schedule at least 5 days before the exam date.

4. Exam Content – ​​Exam Time

- Decorative Drawing: Drawing on A3 paper using powder paint or watercolor, exam time 240 minutes

- Fine Arts Drawing: Candidates choose one of two exam subjects (Still Life Drawing with themes from familiar objects in life or Drawing a bust), drawing on A3 paper using pencil, exam time 240 minutes.

- Physical Education and Sports Aptitude Test: Assessment of body shape, standing long jump (cm), 30m high-start sprint (seconds), handgrip strength (kg).

5. Checking Exam Results

Candidates log in to the system https://thinangkhieu.tdtu.edu.vn using the account provided during exam registration to check their exam results.

Note: Aptitude tests will be graded on a 10-point scale. The school does not accept appeals for aptitude test scores.

7. Decorative Painting Subject

• Drawing board (A3 size);
• Soft pencils (2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B), candidates may choose the appropriate soft pencil;
• Powder paints or watercolors (Pentel, Dong A, Mango, etc.);
• Water-based glue for mixing with powder paints;
• Tracing paper or carbon paper (without images);
• Paper tape, paper clips (double-sided tape is not allowed);
• Color mixing palette (plastic or plywood);
• Paint brushes of various types (at least 3: large, medium, and small);
• Set square, compass, eraser, ink pen (ballpoint pen);
• Can of water for washing brushes;
• Cleaning cloth;
• Pencil sharpener.

1. Fine Art Drawing Subject

- Drawing board (A3 size);

- Soft pencils (2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B), candidates may choose a suitable soft pencil;

- Ink pen (ballpoint pen);

- Eraser;

- Measuring stick, plumb bob;

- Paper tape, paper clips (double-sided tape is not allowed);

- Pencil sharpener.

1. Physical Education and Sports Aptitude

Candidates must wear sportswear and flat-soled athletic shoes.

7. Notes on Talent Test Registration

- Upon successful registration, candidates will be provided with an account to log into the system (default username is the Citizen ID number; password is the date of birth). Candidates should use the provided account to log into the system: https://thinangkhieu.tdtu.edu.vn to check personal information, registration information; look up the exam schedule and scores.

- Candidates can register for the talent test in all three rounds. The university will use the highest score from each round for admission consideration.

- TDTU does not use talent test results transferred from other universities.
