Sports & Physical Education

A healthy and balanced lifestyle is a key factor contributing to both academic progress and the physical, mental development of individuals. Understanding this, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) has developed a world-class physical training facility to serve the university's physical education program and meet students’ sports and recreational needs. The goal is to enhance connections, foster teamwork, develop leadership skills, promote multicultural integration, and provide mental relaxation and entertainment for each individual.

TDTU’s physical education program is structured based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training (150 class hours) and focuses on essential sports, followed by other popular sports based on student preferences (as determined by a survey of the sports students most enjoy and wish to participate in). The program offers 14 sports for students to choose from, structured into three main modules:

Physical Education – Swimming (45 class hours): This is the most essential and mandatory course for all students at the university. To complete this course, students are required to acquire basic knowledge of swimming, drowning prevention, and rescue techniques. Additionally, students must swim 100 meters and tread water for 1 minute and 30 seconds (for males), or swim 50 meters and tread water for 1 minute (for females).
